Promoting Combined Success at EBS India Inc

  1. What inspired you to come up with the idea of EBS India Inc?

EBS is an articulation of thoughts which was always there in my sub conscious mind. Ever since my childhood, I had an abiding aspiration to start my own business venture. Even when I started working I had the idealism of being an entrepreneur in my deeds and actions. Every responsibility at workplace was handled by me with an entrepreneurial zeal.

This entrepreneurial flourish has empowered me as a contributor in the organizations where I have worked and has also given me the impetus to keep on striving.

EBS was started in 2016 and it is a labor of more than 20 years of my corporate experience. It is on ground execution of the blueprint which I always had in my mind.

In Cricketing parlance, I can say that we have runs on the board and are rotating strike and look forward to a long innings.

This year I have been able to execute another venture for women which was in my mind for many years now. EBS has been imaginative in its approach, this year we ventured into creation of a platform which will celebrate the achievements of the Indian Women i.e. SWAAVLAMBIKA SAMMAN. It is a holistic concept and a broad societal vision which will culminate into SWAAVLAMBIKA FOUNDATION that will be a tribune for a broad societal vision i.e. social well-being of Women & Children

My company and my colleague’s follow well-devised & modern yet strong SOP’s that help us follow up on day-to-day operations. This includes addressing client needs and well defined combined business objective which is unique to EBS India Inc. and all our team members.

Our work is professionally managed and chalked out in phases/routines with timelines. During the pandemic, the team adapted to WFH (Work From Home) methodically, giving time & location independence.

Customers are simultaneously informed of developments & schedules are maintained to deliver projects well ahead of time. In addition, time is allocated to thoroughly inspect/edit & comply with the highest standards of doing business following PERT (Project Evaluation & Review Technique).

4. Tell us about your life philosophy “Power lies in each one of us”.

In letter and spirit, I believe in “Combined & Continued Success” of all my colleagues, stakeholders and clients. It has been inspired by a Sanskrit phrase: “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”(The world is one family)

I have always been a keen observer of life and I am inspired by small, small things which make a big difference to our lives. I believe in empowering people towards their utmost potential.

During my professional career when I led teams, I facilitated my colleagues to strive for the best. Flexible work environment was created for them to achieve their Peak Performance at work.

Now as, I run my business consulting, I am striving to achieve a consonance which provides equal progression opportunities for all my team members.

I strive for One Aim — One Goal — One Focus towards Harmony & Mutually Beneficial All- Round Progress of my colleagues and stakeholders.

5. Tell us about major leadership lessons you have learnt

I believe in an old saying “No Woman/man is an island”. We all live in an eco-system in which everything is interconnected and symbiotic. Throughout my career, I have been a ‘seeker’ of advice on the art & science of leadership. To me leadership is equipping and empowering a colleague to the next level.

I believe that leadership is all about action, delegation and decision making. It can be learnt from our day to day lives where we have to communicate our thoughts to get our work done. Leadership is all about self-awareness. It can be learnt from the environment in which we are raised, from our parents and bosses.

However everyone has their own style of leadership and we have to come up with a leadership trait which is inherent to our personalities and temperament. A true leader always stands by their team when they commit a mistake and truly appreciate them for their laurels.

I can advise readers to discover their true self, through observation and develop their own tactics of leadership.

6. Tell us about Indo European chamber activities & your role

Indo European Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IECCI) is a registered Not-for-Profit, NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) which has been working towards facilitating & promoting multilateral relation between India and the other nations.

As I am the governing council member with the IECCI, we work on Socio-Economic Development of the Indian community with fervent focus on the less developed regions (LDR’s) of our country.

Partnership with IECCI is based on convergence of our thoughts on promoting economic growth by fostering & facilitating business relations between India and other countries.

It is the abiding faith and commitment towards all-round prosperity of our country which strengthens the bonds between EBS & IECCI.

7. Tell us about your recent initiative “Swaavlambika Samman Awards”

As the Swaavlambikaname suggests, it is the epitome of celebrating independence in womanhood and entrepreneurship among women in general. The word stems from ‘Swavalamban’ in Sanskrit) means ‘Independence’; so Independent Women Awards is a celebration of the achievements of women hailing from diverse walks of life.

The awards were a culmination of serious pondering about celebrating the successes achieved by women in different fields of work. It took much ruminating about the initiative after taking cognisance of the abilities of women and their success stories in other walks of life; that I was able to comprehend this fiesta and bring it alive in the form of an Award ceremony.

This is now proposed to be a fixture each year, and will propel into a much bigger and prestigious ceremony enabling & encouraging women to nominate themselves and win.

It is a fantastic platform for women to adumbrate and express their efforts and come out vocally about their achievements in their ventures and work environments. So much so that we are in process of developing Swaavlambika Foundation for addressing Societal Needs.
